Fair Housing Statement
Version 2026-10-30. Effective October 30, 2026. All legal documents
PitchToList supports equal housing opportunity. Everyone who uses it must follow fair housing law.
1. Our commitment
PitchToList is committed to the letter and spirit of the federal Fair Housing Act and applicable state and local fair housing laws. We do not allow discrimination in any part of the Service, and we expect every seller and agent to treat everyone fairly.
Federal law makes it illegal to discriminate in the sale or rental of housing, including in real estate brokerage services, because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status or disability.
Many states and localities protect more classes, for example age, source of income, sexual orientation, gender identity or military status. On PitchToList, a protected class means any class protected by federal law or by the law of the state or locality where the home is located.
2. How the Service is built for it
- Before shortlisting, agents see only a home's area and facts, not the seller's identity. Agents are invited by rotation among eligible agents, never by a seller's or anyone's preferences about who they are.
- Sellers see pitches in random order on lettered cards, led by commitments and verified license details, with no agent name, brokerage or photo while any pitch is still outstanding. Once none is, the names, brokerages and photos of every agent who pitched appear at the same moment, whether or not the seller shortlists them.
- Seller notes are screened before agents read them, and we remove content that states or implies a preference, limitation or discrimination based on a protected class.
- Agents agree to follow fair housing law in every pitch and message and in all dealings with sellers they meet here (Agent Terms, section 6).
3. What we expect
- Sellers: do not state any preference about who may buy your home, and do not choose or reject an agent based on a protected class.
- Agents: do not steer, refuse to deal with, or treat any person differently based on a protected class, and do not include any such statement in a pitch, profile or message.
- Everyone: describe homes and services, not people.
We may remove content and suspend or remove accounts for discrimination, and may report it to the authorities.
